Went for a walk today. For several years I carried a macro lens with me when I hiked, and hardly ever used it. For the second time this week I went hiking and kept wishing I had brought it along.
A couple I took with the DFA 70-210.
I liked the color of this thistle.
After I took the first photo, I noticed the insect (whatever it is).
It was a fun day, I took a wrong turn and drove an extra very scenic 20 miles, got to see what an empty reservoir looks like and took a walk through a forest that had been burned a number of years ago, seeing the slow recovery. There was a carcass of a deer that was only bone and fur - reminded me of college when my art major roommate was sketching a scull for her basic drawing class.
