First shots made with my new (used) KP during a short trip to Portoferraio (Elba Island). All taken with the 16-85. What a beast of a camera!

Immediately when I saw your images I thought ... looks like Elba and then read it is. Three times I was there with my family when the kids were young. A wonderful place! Did you hike from Marciana to the peak of Monte Capanne? A really nice walk!

I did it years ago

! This last time we relaxed for three days in Portoferraio, we didn't even bring the car or bike with us. Elba is just 1 hour and 40 minutes from my home (1 hour drive time to Piombino, and 40 minute of ferry) so we go there every time we can... beautiful island, I mean... beautiful...

This is a little different, IO is to the left, Europa is occulted, and Ganymede and Callisto were off frame, due to "crop", to the lower right. Just a dot really, with KP + DA300 + 1.4x + Astrotracer. For fun, I used Topaz Gigapixel and photoshop to enhance the few pixels there, and was amazed that it kind of looks like what it actually is

I am amazed at the KP's performance too and the quality of the plastic fantastic DA 35mm f2.4, an absolute gem of a lens 😉
