Cape Spear Snow Squall Pano

This pano is from the parking lot at Cape Spear. Snow squalls going by in 60kph -3C weather. There was a new microfront squall blowing in about every thirty minutes. When they did it was fog and snow everywhere, not sun.

A much higher res version is available here: http://www.nfgarland.ca/RobinHoodPano.jpg

55-300 PLM at 55. I took a bunch more and am working on them but switched to the 16-85 at about the same FL. May post some in a bit if they look good to anyone.

MN Winter Wonderland

Woke up on January 2nd to a winter wonderland here in MN. All pics taken with the KP and SMC-FA 20-35mm f4.0. I found that using
Auto WB in these conditions will require more work in PP, but it's easy enough to correct in Raw Therapee. That's my dog, Blu in the last image. (He loves hunting bunnies and squirrels on the fairgrounds) As usual, the KP makes me look like a better photographer than I am. Although it was quite chilly (-25C), keeping a spare battery in a warm inner pocket worked like a charm.

Wonderful photograph.

Judging from the 02:47AM time stamp you should have been in bed but I am glad that you were not.

I am curious as to what all the white specs on the snow in the foreground are. Were these from the snow picking up reflections from nearby lights?

My guess would be the moon as the source of the light. At that altitude with white fluffy snow being out at night with a full moon is a magical experience. Diamonds sparkling everywhere.

Thanks Ulrich! It was a wonderful experience to watch the sunrise from there as it was happening.

It was snowing slightly ...

KP and DA55-300PLM are a great combo under such conditions.

Haven't posted on this thread for a good while, lots of great shots since I last peeked in!
We've had some nice sunrises here in Mid-America this winter, hope this one is worthy of this thread.
