You can't really ask more of a consumer zoom. And it pairs really well with the KP - the high ISO performance compensates well for the slow aperture of the PLM at the long end.

A fun outing with the KP this weekend. Spring is finally starting to show up in the Northland.

The weather was abysmal, so I decided to experiment with some intentional lens movement (handheld).I got lucky and captured this on the second try. The next 25 tries were junk.

Cloud cover over a beach

Finally found some time to go out at the weekend and take some photos at a local hill and found myself caught up in a four-seasons-in-one-day, experiencing everything from bright sunshine to black clouds and even some snow for a few minutes.
Anyway was fun to have some time with the KP and experiment with some tree silhouettes.

I've been quite enjoying taking the 100 macro with me recently on my evening dog walk. Sun is just in the right place for it at the moment and in doing so a project began to form in my head. I've got 3 frames in the bathroom with generic Ikea prints in, two are triptychs and I thought about replacing them with my own prints. I've got one triptych sorted and I think this set will form the 2nd. Now i just need one single image in the same genre taken at the same time in season and light. I was trying the latter with the 15 but so far I haven't quite found something or rather haven't made it work. I think I need a subject and angle close to the forest floor.
