I know it is of the new flagship, but to me it is the best Pentax available. There's something about it that I can't put into words. It feels like a premium product by Pentax. Kind of like the Df, premium, yet misunderstood. It feels like it's going to be a timeless camera and people will still be talking about it for years to come. Some say it's a disappointment, some say it's overpriced, I say it's perfect.

Congratulations! Indeed it is beautiful. Very classy, and I think very distinctive among APS-C DSLR designs in numerous ways. I just noticed the tiny new bumper design for the camera strap attachments- clever. A much better idea than the leather pieces on my K-5 IIs, which I'll be keeping, since it has been a great performer with a fine, full control set. But Im looking forward to getting the very unique KP as well.

You know seeing it sitting on a brown leather sofa makes me think how good a brown leather strap would look on it. Like the K-3 Silver Limited Edition models had.

Congrats, and I agree completely! I just acquired a 20-40 and I think it will be my favorite KP lens. To me, it is the new quintessential walk-around camera.
