Like I said, I do not care about your T-90. The thread is about the KP and not about the T-90. If there is something that I miss my apologies for causing confusion.
I do not have a T-90.
I have never had a T-90.
However, virtually every SLR/DSLR built since the T-90 has taken its look from the all-black T-90, and I am tired of that look.
Yes, this thread is about the KP.
Its over look is different from the T-90 inspired all-black look.
It's "silver" variant looks even less like the T-90 than the "black" variant does - and I personally think that is a refreshing change.
Based on how my inexpensive blue K-30 has not scratched, I would be more than happy to take a chance on the silver KP if I had the necessary money.

For my taste, the silver version KP works well with its retro styling.
I agree. For me the black looks great, and less intimidating. But for its retro style, silver is better suited. It brings a lot of similarity to the ME, which I love for its look.

Also another reason of me getting a silver is to feel different from thousands of camera users out there, especially ones with a big black Canon or Nikon, with a huge lens attached to it.

Canon T-90 is the camera which ended black + silver as typical camera design and began the all-black stealth design
As far as I can see, all black already occurred in older Pentax bodies such as KX and LX (as per the forum links below)

At least we have a choice. Whatever floats your boat. Both are very fine-looking. With virtually all DSLR models across brands being pervasively black, I find a traditional silver/black being available is refreshing and distinctive. It seems some of the mirrorless crowd also has availability of this traditional look.

Black for the street of course. Less obtrusive. Silver looks as if it shpould be kept in a cabinet. Mixed - no thanks, like wearing a suit with different color jacket and trousers.

I do keep my cameras in a cabinet when not out for use, even the black ones. It is rather like buying a watch. We have one for the purpose of telling the time, etc. Some are just for such purpose, being mundane in looks, while others are jewel-like, yet well-designed for function. I consider my KP's looks as more jewel-like, compared to my other DSLR bodies. We once had some snazzy-looking two-tone automobiles in past eras. Long-time back, I had a very nice taupe and chocolate top 2-tone Lincoln town car. We have a friend who always buys a black car- nothing else will do.

I love my silver KP with my black and silver limiteds. But for black bodies I prefer black lenses.

My first Minolta SR something (which was given to me) was silver and black. My Minolta X-700 (the first camera I actually bought) was black. I've tended to prefer black cameras since. My K-S2 and KP are both black. I think black lenses on silver bodies look better than silver lenses on black bodies, for what that's worth, which isn't a lot! If I were to get a second KP (not likely, but let's fantasize), I might be tempted to get a silver one to distinguish them, using one for B&W, or one for tele, or something like that.

As far as styling (re T-90) I tend to prefer somewhat angular cameras, though maybe not quite so sharp and jagged as some Sony models, but some Canons look like they've been carved from a bar of soap," as a colleague of mine used to say.

There, those are my biases!

Just bought a silver 15/4Ltd lens for my Pentax lens. Yes the 50$ difference did make a difference although I could have bought the black 100$ cheaper as pristine second hand from Bhphotovideo.

Why not ? It’s pentax and it’ll be sexy🤓

If you can’t decide on black or silver lens, you might want to try the m42 zeiss ”flektogon zebra” lens series on black or silver bodies...

PS: Can’t warranty mixing zebra’s & panda’s...
