KP AF hang up with Tamron 70/300 4-5,6 AF Di LD Macro

I just bought a KP. High speed shutter and high ISO look good features to use with a tele lens.
The Tamron 70/300 4-5,6 AF Di LD Macro is a screwdriver AF device and works well with K-01
and K5.
Used on KP, with AF, freeze everything.
Pentax FA 35/80 4-5,6 is a screwdriver device too and works well on KP.
I have seen something similar with Sigma Tele lens.
My KP sw is 1.00.
Are there any new release?
Or may be a Tamron old SW? and how to load a new one if available?

The camera/lens combo probably needs some new firmware. Maybe shoot tamron an e-mail?

Just about month ago I got my 70-300 replaced by Tamron.

It's focusing got stuck with K-1. And the camera became unresponsive until the zoom ring of the lens was moved a bit. It was the only thing releasing. Booting the camera did not help. Nor did cleaning the contacts. So it was something wrong inside the lens.

The new copy works fine. And it is clearly optically better and less noisy.

Did you still have warranty? or did they replace it anyway?

The warranty still covered it.

Mine is ten years old, so that won't happen.... But maybe an older copy won't have the problem anyway.
