upgraded K-s1 to KP WiFi disappointment

I was enjoying K-s1 with Pentax Flucard using my MacBook Pro as a tethering remote monitor and controller, it was always working great.
Now I purchased KP ( as it was 20% off in Australia) and the big disappointment, you can not use WiFi with Mac in Remote control mode!
After inserting Flucard into KP I thought it should work, no it does not. Keep disconnecting, I can only see 4 pictures from the camera and remote camera control does not work, it is greyed out.
I did hear about Android emulator for Mac, does it work, is it stable and reliable, did anyone try it?
This possibly should also work with K-1, so far I used only iPad and it works well.
iPads have unfortunately very short lifespan so decided to use MacBook Pro instead, they seems to last forever.
My 2002 PowerBook G4 Titanium still going strong, although WiFi is not compatible with my network and optical drive is playing up but sharing services by firewire with other macs works well.
Is there any client for Windows, I have WIN10 installed under Parallels?

You'll have to use your phone, iTrax, or the free Lightroom tethering plugin.

The tethering supports K-1, the KP is not mentioned.
I have Lightroom 5 , you need LR6 for that to work.
