USA eBay. I don't understand why but I think when we search eBay.com.au, even tho it will include overseas sellers the results are not conclusive, it's better to search from eBay USA site itself often. But yeh, I think it's part of a Silver K-5 set.

yes indeed,
that was with rather large and heavy brilliant Sigma 18-35 1.8 ART and Sigma 17-70 2.8 - 4 Contemporary,
will need to have a play with some smaller lenses

Has anyone tried to model and 3D print a custom grip?
I use my KP with a 500 lens and find the XL grip quite small.

I use the KP with the DA560, and the batterygrip is mandatory with such a large lens. I find the combo quite comfortable, but I wonder if a larger grip on the body only would work with a 500mm lens? The body is quite small.

I suspect it would have to be a very large grip that extends a large distance in front of the camera body to allow enough leverage, and if you don't have gigantic sandwich clamps for hands, can you hold it steady? I suspect not. I have the grip on my KP and with the Sigma APO 120-400 HSM I am glad of it since a 4 pound lens need some weight to the rear to help with balance. I can only imagine how front heavy your KP would be without the grip and a DA 560 on it.

Holding the lens foot! The 120-400 is not long, <9 inches, but very heavy for its size. Index finger then can be moved to change focal length for zoom and also to unlock and change OS mode if using in lens stabilization.

I also have a large grip for sale here on PF since you get an extra with the battery grip.

I got excited when you said 'well priced', obviously we're doing quite differently economically

I'll wait for a 20% off in DCxpert and strike then perhaps. For something that really should have been included for free (like it was elsewhere) paying $110 for two grips is not well priced imo. And I think I could only afford one so I think the Large would be the one I aim for.
