Side holster bag for KP + DA15mm

Just as the subject matter suggests, I think I'm looking for a side holster bag to store the KP with the DA15mm attached, ideally in such a manner that the lens cap can be safely off during this time to allow for very quick shooting. This would be my second shooter on body, the main (k-1 + lens swapping) being around my neck, the KP will not be lens swapping during these sessions so speed is paramount. However... I have seen those side holster units, I think I'd prefer not to go down that route (for a number of reasons that I won't get into just now), I think a side holster style bag would overall work better for me (but feel free to link whatever). Ideally the holster bag will be attached to a belt, not take up too much room, and just provide enough for the KP and lens attached.

Anyone got any suggestions that spring to mind? I'm posting this whilst browsing same time...

Cheers,

Bruce

I have used what is called around here a "fanny pack" removable large extra belt pocket. That system works quite well with a compact body and small lens. You should be able to find one that can hold the KP and DA 15mm Limited easily. If you can get one in heavy leather, that would be good security. If concerned regarding padding, slipping in a small sheet of bubble wrap could work.

That's actually a good idea, i never considered the 'bum bag' (as it's called here lol). 'cause I am basically also looking for a better 'belt' for my other lens pouches and items to dangle off. A good fanny pack may provide this...

Something like this I think looks ideal; https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1051331-REG/cosyspeed_cs0002_cosyspee...inger_105.html

Not sure if that exact model would be large enough for a KP + DA15mm...

Try looking for a Think Tank Belt System + pouches for the camera and lenses (i.e. a digital holster + speed changer).

Or look for their Hubba Hubba Hiney + their Skin Belt.

I ended up getting this, mainly because my funds are low and it was/is on special; COSYSPEED Camslinger 160 Mirrorless Camera Holder, Street CS0009

I watched a few youtube videos on it, it doesn't look as bad to open and close as some seem to feel, I'll provide further feedback once it arrives.

That one just looks too small. wed7's suggestions appear more like what I was thinking of. You could also take your camera and check around department stores, etc.

Once I was looking to buy a Digital Holster 5 or 10 from ThinkTank but I realized that holsters alone are kinda small or too limited especially when you want to add the what nots.

Australia just doesn't seem to have that same kinda choice as the states. We have a few small specialist camera stores and the range limited, something like Cosy never even makes it to our stores to compare, and I don't think I have seen Think Tank this way either.

However the Cosy 160 arrived yesterday and I am cuffed with it, exactly what I was looking for, easily takes the KP +DA15, or even a DFA100mm attached, for the price it's certainly good value and will keep me going awhile till I revisit this scenario.
