I've had the DA 18-135mm for some years now, and find its versatility very useful, and image quality very good to excellent, especially between 18-70mm. But it does very well throughout, actually. I use it on my KP without hesitation when I need it. Another good thing- it is exceptionally compact for such a wide-ranging zoom lens, which goes very well on the KP's compact design. Since you already have the DA 40 and 70 LTD for extra-compact, high -quality use, I think the compact DA18-135mm WR would be a very useful, and appropriately-designed versatile zoom lens for your KP.

The 18-135 stayed on my KP last fall while visiting Rocky Mountain NP.
It has kept me from buying the 20-40 limited, well the price of the 20-40 helps along those lines too.

Nice shot! I have both. The DA 20-40mm is excellent. But I sometimes do need the extra range of the DA 18-135mm and I do not hesitate to employ it with its fine image quality.

My favorite walking around lens. Very good edge-to-edge sharpness at just about any aperture/distance combinations, and the color saturation is excellent. For the price and convenience of not having to swap from normal to tele, it is a solid all-rounder.
