Thank you for the comments. The location is in the Dolomites, the area around Cortina. It looks a bit like Karwendel Alps

Took this last Monday in Spearfish Canyon in South Dakota. KP w/20-40

F11, 1/2 second, 20mm

Flagstaff station Melbourne. Handheld at 0.8 secs (gotta love the SR on the KP).

Mine too. Sadly they are under threat in many areas. I think there is one threatened species of black cockatoo at risk because it is heavily dependent on them.

yes that is the case here too, they are really big birds, one garden I worked in would see them there at least once a year, their beaks so strong would snap small branches and gnaw away at bark, with their usual squawks it made for an interesting time in the garden.
