Post your KP images with HD Pentax-DA 20-40mm f2.8-4.0 ED Limited DC WR.

After few days of using the combination I think that it will make a great travel kit.
I am not a pixel peeper so minor distortion and minute amount of purple fringing at extremes does not bother me.
The color rendering and sharpness are pretty nice IMO.
Few from today when the sun tried to come out.

Nice

I have a love / hate relationship with the 20-40. I'm pretty sure it's field curvature at longer distances - especially at the long end - that bugs me, yet it can produce great images (especially as a wide-angle)... and it's lovely to use

You'll have to forgive my post-processing on this one... I think I was in kind of an HDR mood at the time

Looks good to me.
The lens is a delight. The body is taking some getting used to coming from K7 and K5. It has so many custom settings.

Oops, my apologies - I just noticed you were looking for KP images... mine was from the K-3 + 20-40... let me know if you'd like me to delete it?

I upgraded to the KP from my beloved and abused K5 a couple of months ago, and at the same time got the 20-40 and the 55-300plm. I'm delighted with all three, and I'm normally a bit of a fusspot.

The KP felt very uncomfortable in my hand initially, very angular, but I've adjusted my hand's positioning on the camera and am now totally used to it with the medium grip.
The 20-40 is just what I need to accompany the Da15ltd for days in the mountains, a gap I've been struggling to fill for a while. It has proper ltd 'pixie dust', something which I missed on the Sigma 17-50 (and I'm sure all other normal zooms). It's also very light (yet quality metal), beautifully tactile and a joy to use.

Going off topic, the 55-300plm focussing is mindblowing. It's like switching to Canikon! I want the focus mechanism retro fitted to my dozy Da300*.

Thank you. I've been trying to force myself to get up and out 15 minutes earlier to shoot landscapes on the way to work. The 20-40 has been my favorite ASP-C lens for a while and it really loves its new hoe on the KP.

Interesting ‘Club’ thread

After viewing your combination on the Acquisition thread I fell victim to the B&H special price and ordered the 20~40 in silver for my KP.

It will be here Friday; along comes a posting thread . . . .
