Really nice detail!! 800mm definitely does the moon justice.

One from tonight. 99% illumination, heavily processed in PS.
Not sure if it is due to lack of seeing or the 24 Mp sensor but I am struggling to get one fairly sharp image.

Answered my own question, nothing wrong with the sensor.

Sure, not much to it.
2 second timer, this disables the SR and raises the mirror allowing vibrations to dampen before firing the shutter.
1/750 shutter, anything from 1/60 to 1/1000 will work.
ISO 400. I have used ISO 100 to 6400, what ever provides proper or desired exposure. This time it was 400 to work with the shutter speed.
RAW+JPEG. I mostly shoot JPEG but decided on RAW+ just in case.

Camera mounted to the telescope with a T-mount, using a 2" Orion prime focus adapter in my case.
I used to use a wired remote but now I am using YONGNUO RF 603 II remotes, they work great.
Ideally you want to shoot when the winds are calm and the moon is high overhead, less atmosphere to distort image.
That`s about it.

55-300 handheld, cropped, maybe filters used in android-photo gallery (contrast and sharpness). It's just to show a quick and dirty approach that actually surprised me!

Nice result, the 300 and the converter seem to go together well with the KP.
