KP release button definitely had different haptics compared to K-1 series which btw had no shutter release issues in extreme cold. I had two mk-1 bodies which I used in comparable conditions.

It's different from the K-5 too. Mushier. i generally don't like mushy, but it does let me squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze off shots when the shutter speed's slow.
