Can you use the electronic shutter on the KP with the intervalometer?

This kind of came up on DPR.

Thanks.

You can set it - but it makes noise. It's not silent like the regular shooting mode on live view - I hadn't noticed before as I use an external intervalometer.

I infer then that if you use an external intervalometer it is silent?

Thanks.

It doesn't seem to be - Honestly I'd use another camera for timelapses - the Kp will work, but it's not really practical (the biggest issue being power) - I generally use a M43 camera, a gopro, or a cellphone for timelapses, depending what I want to use it for.
