Great shots! I particularly like the club shot of strongly backlit keyboard player.

You have some amazing photos there. I also really like the Club shots. Can you tell us what F stop & iso you used?

ooh dang, it's all over the place. Mostly ISO 3200... but f-stop and shutter speed are all over the place, I was changing stuff based on the lighting.
Here's the link to my "forums" gallery where I post this stuff from.

On the left once it loads, there's a little bar graph for "photo info" click that and you can flip through the photos and see the info for each photo.

Great review! Fun to read and useful as I'm always interested in users' reviews (not reviewers' reviews).

Thanks for one year retrospective, also I enjoyed the pictures a lot - especially the people/club shots.

I have to go read on the talk about the upcoming new APS-C..
Don't waste your time. Other than the models shown by Ricoh, there aren't any facts out yet.

Great photos, peoples who have a KP understand how great it is, peoples who dont have it are missing something.

I agree with you. I would add that in my opinion the Pentax KP is extremely handy. OK, all Pentax cameras are handy, but KP is especially friendly - this time all the buttons and functions are for me and are in place.

The KP is the most portable serious camera I've ever used. I believe the designers have achieved their goals with the KP.

KP is having a second life with this aggressive pricing for maybe one year or so. I really hope a Mk2 will be in the pipe at some point

Your iso 3200 looks so much cleaner than mine do, and I seldom use 6400. It looks like we both use Lightroom, so you are much more talented with managing iso than me. Excellent work.

^ hmm that's interesting. I don't suspect I have some sort of secret methods here, I'm just using the Lightroom noise reduction.

I have a couple presets I made just for noise reduction when I do high ISO work, I'd be glad to look and send you a screenshot of my LR noise reduction settings if there are any ones in particular that you want to see settings for.
(I'm not saying I'm doing anything special, but maybe the combination of amount + threshold + detail works a little better)
