KP shake Reduction

Shake Reduction icon in Control Panel is grayed out. Shake Reduction is OFF. How do I turn it ON?

Press “info” button and you will see a hand icon which is shake reduction function, then turn it on

You may have your shutter release set to delay which would disable SR, there are a few other setting that could also disable it, it’s all in the manual.

The shake reduction is also turned off if using a manual aperture lens. I found this using the lens baby sol which has an F3.5 fix. To switch it on, tell the kp the lens focal length in the menu. To do this, set 'using aperture ring' to setting '2'; enabled. The kp remembers the last selection so you just need to press ok after changing lens. I found the stability assist works really well with the sol-45 on kp, I do street and am moving lots when taking pictures even at slow shutters.

you should be able to go the camera menu to turn it on or off and in case of manual lenses set the proper (or closest) focal length

Are you sure about this? If so, the behavior would be a departure from that of other Pentax dSLRs. My experience is that SR remains on when doing a "hot switch" to a non-AF lens (no data contact to pass focal length) with focal length for SR defaulting to that last set manually. Turning off the camera when switching lenses helps avoid this potential pitfall.
