3D printed grips

Has anyone attempted making a grip for the KP with a 3D printer? One would think with the modular nature of the grips, 3D printed and aftermarket grips would be out there.

There are probably no aftermarket grips due to patents in effect.

Is it possible to patent a bolt on plastic grip? I wouldn't have thought so...

I don't think so either, but it is possible to trademark specific shapes as a workaround.

I have no KP, but I printed a grip
for a Sony RX100. It was an easy
job and looks like a part build by Sony. So I can recommend this.
You only have to draw your model.

I wonder a) if it would be possible to model one on the K3 grip and 2) find someone in the UK who would do it cheap

This thought actually crossed my mind after watching a review on the KP.

Ideal solution would be to have a DIY mould, send it into your 3d scanners and printers et voila, bespoke grip. That'd probably cost a fair whack though...

Are you after a battery grip or just a screw mount grip?

I made one for Huawei P20 Pro, it is about the same size as Pentax 67 grip. It is part of my "ALPA-Phone" project.

I also made one for my IR-converted Fuji X-A3. 3D-printing is very valid idea to create usable ergonomics for modern cameras.

That's what I was wondering ... Something a bit bigger than the large grip and shaped like the K3.

Got a photo of the "large grip" (maybe by itself & attached to the camera)?

I made one for the film MX body so as to be lighter than the metal originals but still supply space for all fingers on the camera and ease of use with longer lenses. See here:

I have the kp and the k3. I am much happier with the k3 grip. If you could do them in shiny red we could all have KP-Js my problem is I broke the bank to pay for the camera so couldn't afford to pay what a printed grip would cost. You couldn't copy the K3 exactly because of the KP front wheel. Also, would there be an issue getting the bolt right? It would need to be secure. Its a brilliant idea and, depending on cost, I would be in
