Unboxing (and customising) my KP J Limited

Hello dear friends,

i just wanted to share some images (taken with Casio Exilim ZR3000) having just recieved this beautifull Pentax DSLR.

I will later present the pre-programmed USERs modes… and any particularities.

Please feel free to ask any questions, i'll try to do my best to answer...

1- The parcel with internal protections

2- The dedicated box

3- The first findings : the drawing looks like an ancient greek warrior reference

4- Inside the box : a prominent "nose"

5- Same neck-strap as K-1, not suitable for me

6- Here's the beast !

7- Documents and CD-rom : users book only in Japanese

8- Interesting : special registration card for fan clubs

9- Same body-cap as K-1

10- Internationnal menus : that's a pretty darn good thing !

---------- Post added 25-10-19 at 07:02 ----------

And underneath the super-hood....

11-

Congrats on your new gear, and best of luck with it!

(As an aside, I like the "Limited" logo on the box.)

Excellent. Good to see that someone on the forum and outside of Japan has purchased one of these.

Let's see some shots of the special finish camera mount too.

The J Limited logo may be a Nereid / Sea Nymph (mermaid).

I was thinking it looked like Athena, the helmet at least looks the part. The sword is more Lady of the Lake from the Arthurian mythos, however. Were Nereids represented as half-fish or was that a later representation? The only things I'm sure about are:
-The helmet is Greek.
-The sword is not Greek.

Haha! It's a mythology melting pot.

Fun set of photos! I think I like the AOC on the prism best! Nice to see these appearing outside Japan.

Also, for all you kids watching at home, I'd advise against gripping a sword by the blade. You're welcome.

Half-swording is far less crazy than one could think. You just have to know what you're doing

is that all about sharpness, or in this case unsharpness of the equipment under the JLimited!?

I hope, for the OP's sake, that there is no relation!
