Keep all three. Boating accidents are know to happen. You shoot a lot and having backup is a good thing. Plus, we know what you paid for your KP and all plan on low balling you when you put it up for sale.

peration) I think carrying two bodies is mostly going to just make the bag heavy.

Your old 60k shutter model is a reasonable backup in case something happens to the new unit.
I plan on pushing it until its dead ! Thats really the only reason I wont sell it , because I need/want to know exactly how far it can go !

ROFLOL......Yeah ! I know all to well what happens on Boats and around water.....Been there and done that !
I don't really want to go there again , but also know it WILL happen again sooner or later......Thinking.....thinking...

I used a Old Town Dirigo 12' sit inside kayak for 7 years(Love/Hate relationship) and I finally killed the hull last month by dragging it over rocks until it finally split wide open. That boat saw the death of three cameras before it was over. My new SOT Kayak will have a proper camera mount and quick dry storage ability before it ever hits the water.

I Wonder whether someone here at PF owns more KPs than you do
I also would keep 2 bodies : there is no point of having an extra extra one.

Depends upon where I am and what I am photographing. At places like Yellowstone I always have two. One with the D FA 150-450 and the other usually has the D FA 28-105 lens on it. Other lenses swapped as needed.

Most other places I usually carry one camera and a few lenses.

First Congratulations.

I have a different idea for you. It comes from this thread
K-1 MK2 Full Spectrum conversion for IR stuff - PentaxForums.com
where the Thread OP converted a K-1MK2 to infrared.
Have one of your KP's converted to infrared. And
occasionally take some infrared pics.
Take care and Enjoy.

That is an interesting approach to the problem of too many kp's.

I like the way you think! How about a "KP deathwatch" thread for updates?

Lucky situation to be in. You should certainly have a kp in silver and one in black. Then a backup for each. Sounds like you're at least one KP short!

That's it. You don't have too many. You don't have enough. You need 4.
