interval movie: changing length of movie

I've made a couple of interval movies, but they are both only two seconds long. I set to take shots 18 shots every two seconds, and another time one second, 18 shots every second. I don't seen anything in manual or on the forum about setting the length of the movie. Shutter speed 1/500 sec.

Thanks for your help.

Which camera did you use?
According to the ebook I purchased here for K-3 you can set the interval from 2 sec to 60 minutes and the total recording time from 14 seconds up to 99 hours

For how long did you set the camera to take pictures?

Some others will probably comment if I am wrong, but I believe there must be enough time between each shot for the camera to process it. If not enough time then the camera's buffer will fill up and the interval shooting will stop. Try a longer time between each shot.

I'm using a KP. When setting up my Interval Movie Record, I have four parameters.
1. Record Pixels (I chose HD)
2.Standby Interval (I chose 1 second) Takes a shot every second?
3. Number of shots (I chose 18) Takes 18 shots?
4. Start Interval (I chose 2 second delay) Starts the process 2 seconds after I press the shutter button?

I don't see anywhere to choose length of the movie

The length of the movie is set by the number of shots -- the more shots you shoot, the longer the movie.

If you want to slow down the movie to show fewer frames per second and make the movie seem longer, you'll probably need movie editing software.

I could be wrong, but you may need to do a little math. Video is usually 30 frames per second so if you want two seconds of video, you need 60 shots. The more shots you have, the longer your movie will be.

That is correct... @mahanpots, you could set for example:

-Take a shot every 15 seconds (this would be 4 pictures per minute)
-You'll need 7.5 minutes for a one second video
-So if you want a 30 second movie, you'll need 225 minutes (almost four hours)
-If you want less time of shooting, reduce the interval... so you can take more pictures in less time

another example:
-take a shot every 2 seconds
-You'll have 1 second video per every minute
-If you want a 30 second video, you'll need in this case 30 minutes
