Sigma 24mm 1.8 EX DG compatibility Pentax K-P

Hi,

I Have a Pentax K-P and a Sigma 24mm 1:1.8 EX DG. My problem is, there is no compatibility between them. Do you know a solution to make compatibility possible?

Thanks a lot

Is it this lens here?

It will only work on your camera if it's a K-mount - do you have it physically connected to your camera?
If it is K-mount, then you may just need to switch the aperture ring to the 'A' setting and it should work just like any other lens.

Welcome to the Pentax Forums!

Please explain what is meant by no compatibility. Is the Sigma lens made for Pentax-K?

We would need to know for what mount the lens was made for. If it is K-mount then it should work though you may have to change a setting on the lens. If it was made for another brand's mount such as Canon or Nikon then there are sometimes adapters that will work with various degrees of functionality. But without knowing what mount the lens is for it is difficult to give good advise.

the only way that makes any sense is if the lens is the wrong mount....
