Does anyone use lens correction?

I was looking through the settings on my KP and I noticed that lens correction was on (late chromatic can adj, & diffraction correction). Is this one of the default settings? I have turned it off, is it better on? I can't find any advice anywhere, hence the post I always shoot RAW btw

Since any kind of in-camera processing may result in slow writing times I have all those corrections off. There is always time to fix those things in post-processing. And yes, if you shoot raw I think it doesn't even matter.

Does not work with RAW unless using Ricoh/Pentax DCU or in-camera development as your RAW converter.

Yep! I do mine in Lightroom using available lens profiles.

I do when using JPEG. Why not? Sure, it makes things slower especially on the K-50 - K-S1 is faster - but I usually take one shot at a time anyway.

I sometimes use lens profiles in lightroom. Sometimes I prefer the image unfixed lol. I got my KP pre owned. It was barely pre owned as it had only taken 280 images (its now up to 10k) so I wasn't sure if these being on was default or set by the previous owner. They are now off. I am constantly learning new tricks with the KP lol

I actually like the KP JPEG engine and, in contrast to K-5 and K-1, tend to tweak things so that I can use the JPG out of camera for a lot of uses. Lateral chromatic aberration is on, the rest off, occasionally I turn on distortion correction for architecture in addition. Diffraction correction is off - I rather turn to the DNG if I need that level of detail.
