How to get ISO to show in the viewfinder

Hello,
I seem to have fouled up the settings on my KP somehow. Now, when I shoot in manual mode, the lower right of the viewfinder shows exposure compensation and not ISO. I want to see ISO (which I control via C1 on the function dial). It used to be there! Now I have to look at the screen to see the adjustments I'm making in ISO. Can anyone tell me how to fix this? Thank you in advance!

In manual mode, you'll have to change the ISO to get it to be visible in the viewfinder, but the ISO number will not remain visible for long. That portion of the display will revert to a number showing how much the exposure meter thinks the image will be over- or under-exposed. It is not a display of "exposure compensation," per se. That is a term used more properly for an automatic exposure mode.

To ensure that the ISO is always displayed there in manual mode, turn off the electronic level. With the electronic level on it takes up the space of the exposure meter, and the exposure meter goes into the ISO place, booting ISO out of the info display.

Thanks for clearing this up for me. I was wondering what these numbers were. It didn't make sense to have an exposure compensation read-out in manual mode. One of these days I'll get this camera all figured out. It takes great pictures, though!

Good get Robert. And (by default) you can turn the electronic level off with the button to the left of the viewfinder - so you don't need to dive into the menu or even take your eye from the screen.

Just to be clear for non-KP owners, the ISO shows in the viewfinder in all the modes except Manual, even with the electronic level on.

It's a nice feature when you get used to it. The camera is telling you how many EV stops your manual settings are from what it think is the correct exposure, so you can adjust accordingly.
