Any chance for new KP Firmware?

Is Pentax likely to release new firmware for the KP, for instance to maybe add some of the features / improvements that are in the recent K1 / K3iii firmware update?

I doubt they would add new features, but historically new lens support is added for the past few generations of cameras.

Browsing through the update history on the support page, there appear to have only been four firmware updates for the KP … and three of those in July, 07/'18 07/'19, 04/'21 and 07/'21.
Probably just coincidence, but if there's nothing new by July next year I'd guess you'll have seen the last
Having said that, there's only been four updates for the K-70 in a similar time-frame but seven updates for the K-3iii in the last year, so I think we can see where the software development efforts are being directed

It would not make business sense to add or improve features of a discontinued product because doing so might delay a user's upgrade to newer model. Fixing problems, on the other hand, would make good business sense.

Also, so much new tech in K3 iii, not surprising it has already had so many updates.
