zig zag lines on camera screen

<<<<normally I shoot DNG, but last week I shot DNG+ with the lowest jpeg value, because I needed som small files for sending.
When I examined the shots I saw that straight diagonal lines were zig zagged . looked like a stair with small steps .The sharpness on the screen was bad. When I used LW the lines also were zig zagged, which made MF impossible. The Zig ZA´g does not show on the PCs monitor
There is no zig zag on the other jpeg settings
Is this normal - related to the lowest jpg setting or is it a warning about future troubles
regards

Which camera and what is LW? If the sharpness on the screen is bad and prevents MF, then you have a problem with the monitor and it has nothing to do with which jpeg quality you use. Please explain and let us see a picture of what you see.

the camera is KP, LW is live view, sorry for the wrong W.
Ihope that the following description is better
I used DNG+ with the lowest jpeg setting
The Zig zag shows on the camera screen When I download to the pc there is nothing to see.
The zig zag does not occur with higher jpeg settings
I dont have the possibility to make a photo of the camera screen which is the only relevant in this case, sending pictures where there is nothing to see is not relevant
To be honest- I dont quite understand your answer, the possible problem is camera related
regards

My non-technical attempt to explain what is happening:

Lower quality jpeg settings compress all of the recorded image data into a smaller file. What would otherwise be smooth gradients in color or light levels are squeezed tight, leaving less room for those gradations, which produces "zaggy" edges at transitions of color or light. This is particularly more visible on the comparatively small screen on the back of the camera. Cramming 24 megapixels of data into a 2 megapixel file, something's got to give!

The problem is not camera related, it is related to the low jpeg setting and you only notice it in replay. It is normal for low jpeg settings. With higher jpeg setting you will not see it. It has to do with the resolution of the jpeg picture. So do not worry about it, it is normal. As K(s)evin explained it very well what the cause is in this!

The lcd resolution is pretty low also. Diagonal lines on the screen are more likely to look sawtoothed when viewed at low resolution.

For focusing try focus peaking or magnified live view to reduce the impact.
