That flare is happening when a ray of light bursts through the leaves and momentarily overexposes half of the image. It's interesting that in the rectangular format you can see the "seam" of the image during that momentary overexposure.
I'm definitely going to have to think about how to use the Theta for the motorcycle stories. That's why I'm testing it out now while on my runs, for which it's quite fun. I did nearly 2 hours in the woods with the camera on the whole time and snapped hundreds of photos and minutes of video.
Quite honestly, I'm not sure if the IQ is up to print quality. Certainly not a full page or two page spread, but maybe a smaller image, and even then it will be hard.
