Do I just drag the video file to the YouTube uploaded like any normal video?

If you do that, it won't be uploaded with 3D metadata. You need to run a python script to add the metadata.

And remember that only Chrome is supported for 3d viewing at the moment. Other browsers won't have the panning functionality.

3D panning works with the YouTube app on Android phones/tablets too.

Hmm, I just watched a 3d video in Firefox. I guess they've quietly added support for that as well!
