Hey All,
I ended up impulse buying an original Theta on the marketplace as part of a bundle, and plan to take it around town and into the woods. I have a couple questions:

Have you found increased shooting height to be important? I have a couple pedco ultrapods from my backpacking-with-a-point-and-shoot days that I could use which would put the theta at between 4" and 10" off the ground. If shots tend to come out better from a closer-to-eye-level perspective, can anyone recommend a freestanding monopod/selfie-stick that has worked well for them?

Especially interested in anything that handles uneven surfaces well.

I have a compact Manfrotto lightstand that works well, as small as a small tripod but much taller.

The lightstand is a great idea. I also have a footed Sirui monopod and a Varizoom Chickenfoot. I've actually shot my 645Z off the Chickenfoot.
