Anyone revived a dunked Theta S?

I accidentally dunked mine while it was inside its foam case , I think just the top part was in the water for 30 seconds or so. I put in in a container of rice for a couple of days, but it won't power on or charge (no light comes on)

Has anyone taken one apart successfully after a soaking?

Just wondering if it's worthwhile trying or if I should just sell it on ebay for parts..

thanks in advance.

I have revived a few mobile phones, one which got fully immersed, back to 100% but have not tried on a digital camera.
The key here is to try and dry all the water as soon as you can, and before you turn the device back on.
So try this next time...

1. Switch it off, and remove the batteries.
2. Disassemble the unit until you can see the circuitry.
3. Use a hair dryer and let the air flow through every inch, making sure not to
Let things get too hot.
4. Wait until it cools.
5. Power it back on.

Good luck.
