A new version of the Z1 was announced and made available for pre-order earlier this week:

Theta Z1 51GB: https://us.ricoh-imaging.com/product/theta-z1-51gb/

The primary difference appears to be the internal memory capacity. The rest of the hardware is the same. Comparing specs side-by-side, there are some small differences in shooting modes, but that's all I'm noticing.

I'm a little surprised no one has posted this yet. Then again, it's a pretty minor update.

I also saw a few units ship earlier this week. Good to see they've addressed the inevitable space issue associated with recording 4K footage...

Ah, good to know. I was looking in the forums and forgot there are other parts of this website. ;D

Thanks for your post. I thought this was the section for Ricoh Theta 360° Cameras, but it doesn’t look like that any more.

^ It (still) is but there is a general section for news and rumours, irrespective of the model.

Any rumours about a new version of the Theta Z1 camera coming out? I don't want to buy one now and have the next model come out a month later. LOL

The new one was released on January 18, 2022. By the way, I just recently bought myself a photo booth for filming which is also for 360 degree video. Very interesting what will be the photos with this camera. She shoots on 360? My 360 photo booth also specializes in such photos and it would be cool to take a couple of photos and both of these devices. I hope that there will be a preorder for this camera and that it will not be very expensive.
