Filters on a Theta?

I've been exploring infrared photography for a while using various filters on my DSLRs, even to the point of having one converted for full spectrum (IR/UV blocking filter removed from sensor).

I'm now wondering whether there might be some way to explore this with a Theta? I guess this would require something like the underwater housing, but not made of plexiglass but filter material instead. Bt perhaps there are other ways? Did anyone explore this before?

Just found this thread for 4 stops ND: Ricoh Theta S with 4 stop ND filter- Long exposure - PentaxForums.com

I do wonder if there wouldn't be some light leaking in from the bottom. Member @vngo seems to have left the forum after two posts...
