How much will the K-3 III cost?

What relatively high price? As far as any of us know they have not announced the release price yet. There are only WAGs about the price. My WAG is the price will be somewhere around $1400 to $1600 but as I said that is a WAG too.

Yes, that one. For Pentax that is a relatively high price. Within six months of release I bought a brand new K-3ii for under $800. I'm not complaining, or declaring that I won't buy one, only that the likely price of the K-3iii will be in the neighborhood of double the new price of the K-3ii.

No, Pentax officialy stated it will be >200,000¥, which would be above $1,900:

You're right, i checked it with the D FA 24-70mm. MSRP was 210,000¥ (1,650€) and initial market price 1,300€.

It will also be a different price in different countries. Quite often I see things where the dollar price is the same number as the pound price. Maybe its because the UK is a smaller market and they want to maximise profit! Whatever the reason, it sucks!

Following on from what I said, this website popped up. Based on this we are paying 20-30% more than the cheapest locations. The UK has 20% tax on everything but for this not to be a marketing decision, there would have to be no tax anywhere else in the world. Basically, everyone seems to feel milking the British public is fair game! ****grumble grumble grumble****

ONLY IF you buy from a Pentax Pro dealer - otherwise (e.g, from Amazon) it's one year and with little or no opportunity to buy an extended warrantee.
