For the first time in my life, I've made an early-adopter (a.k.a. "bleeding-edge") buy
And somehow ended up with the premium bundle, another first - in my haste to buy before getting to a friend's wedding on time, I didn't see that there were choices on the website (I did get to the wedding ok, but brought the wrong focal length lens without taking a spare longer one
- lots of cropping to 100%, not being a wedding photographer, so blessing the K-1 huge number of pixels - digression over!).
I've never used a grip before, maybe I'll give it a try before selling it on.
Maybe I'll experience an advantage to using different focal points, so for the first time in my life of holding a camera up to my face (that is, ahem, many decades),
not use centre-focal-point-focus-and-recompose.
Smoother shutter might mean I can completely train my right hand not to completely support the camera and press the button (I just wish that Pentax would create a
world first by making a camera for left-handed people
)
Thanks for the link to the manual - hey, another first, reading the manual before camera is in my hands.
And another first - skiting on the internet about buying a camera
