At this rate, all of the international units will be going to Australia. Please leave a couple for us in Canada.

Yes, it looks like a fantastic piece of gear.

Congratulations. Now, how do you plan to survice the month of waiting?
Read, re-read, and re-re-read the just released owner's manual?

I ordered a premium kit and have a confirmation email from CRK.

I trust they will honour the discounted back door pre-orders already placed....
If they don't the ACCC will become involved and we will see what happens.

Looks like Pentax have taken down the k-3iii from the easter sale. That's a shame, but probably also a good thing. I'd have likely ordered the silver kit, and then have to make peace with the wife!

lots of firsts!

For the first time in my life, I've made an early-adopter (a.k.a. "bleeding-edge") buy

And somehow ended up with the premium bundle, another first - in my haste to buy before getting to a friend's wedding on time, I didn't see that there were choices on the website (I did get to the wedding ok, but brought the wrong focal length lens without taking a spare longer one - lots of cropping to 100%, not being a wedding photographer, so blessing the K-1 huge number of pixels - digression over!).

I've never used a grip before, maybe I'll give it a try before selling it on.

Maybe I'll experience an advantage to using different focal points, so for the first time in my life of holding a camera up to my face (that is, ahem, many decades), not use centre-focal-point-focus-and-recompose.

Smoother shutter might mean I can completely train my right hand not to completely support the camera and press the button (I just wish that Pentax would create a world first by making a camera for left-handed people )

Thanks for the link to the manual - hey, another first, reading the manual before camera is in my hands.

And another first - skiting on the internet about buying a camera

Ok... a thread to shout out "I just bought a K-3 III"

I just did... and .... hadn't planned to at this stage..... high ISO performance suckered me in.... present for my DFA 150-450.

Silver premium kit.... $2,634 aud inc 10% GST ($1986us).... 1 month wait.... this price is a 15% off for easter special in Australia.
OK then.
I will remember that you will be (should be?) the very "first Pentax Forums user with this camera and I will be expecting quick photos from you to be posted in a dedicated thread right here at Pentax Forums! ... unless someone else beats you to it!

Likewise.

I think there were only two choices when I ordered, black or silver premium bundle. But I might be wrong.

haha.... just bought a SDXC card for it..... I do have a zillion birds to hassle around the place 5 minutes from here.... so focus testing should be easy....

Off course I expect all the normal pentax stuff to be on point.... I'm mostly hoping it gives me a K1 type experience on my DFA 150-450 (viewfinder and higher iso) along with much much better focus tracking plus frame rate (given off course) along with the 1.5x crop benefit.

Don't forget the additional 1.3x crop mode in the K-3 III as well

I think our experience was the same - so maybe 2 grips for sale? (extra battery always useful)

If the camera is as good as the conversations, it'll be brilliant!

Depth of field bracketing YAY, can hardly wait !!!!!
