may I perhaps suggest that a distinct object on a clear featureless background isn't the best test for AF tracking reliability? It is when there are structures around the object that may attract the AF attention that it matters most. that's not to say your pictures do not engage the AF or are in any way bad, just a note to the real challenge...

That wasn't a reaction to your particular post, I've counted three bird on sky pictures in this thread already, nothing wrong with the subject, I just wanted to note that the challenge for AF is greater with busy background... no hard feelings, I hope

We will have a better idea on how effective it is within days. There's no question it's significantly improved from previous Pentax iterations.

By this time next week we'll know HOW significant with regular users experiences posted, and being able to ask those owners details about.

Good I am patient with gear Most of us know almost nothing about K-3 III AF performance, as we didn't have chance to use it. We will se in few days.

Drunk cyclist could be a challenge for any AF system

With af-c being pretty good in modern cameras, dp review might need to start getting their cyclists drunk, you're right!

The question is not the condition of rider - it is the condition of the writer.

That K3iii is out of my wallet range so I'll stick with my K70, but the OP clip does show an impressive AF on the new camera. Maybe I'll consider it if I hit on the lottery.
