Mine arrived this afternoon. Now to spend time learning all the new settings and functions and hoping Adobe gets an update out soon that will support the new PEF format in LR and PS.
Why PEF? The DNGs open just fine in ACR and LrC. However, I do notice that I don't have access to the profiles like "Adobe Landscape" and "Adobe Color" and such. Might have to take that as motivation to dig out my ColorChecker Passport and make my own profile for the camera while I wait for Adobe to give me some more interesting ones (and ideally camera matching ones like are available for many of the other Pentax flagships).

It's going to be pretty sweet to see the photos come in over the coming days and weeks.

Considering the reputation of pentaxians perhaps a murder, a fever or a plague will catch on (all those are real names for groups of animals) I think we should push for a "pod of pentaxians" to counter the narrative.

I have been pondering this subject and I think maybe with Pentaxians' well known focus on frugality maybe an "Economy of Pentaxians" might work, although it is lacking alliteration.

Seeing how BIG that screen is relative to the camera is quite revealing. The reasons for using a fixed screen are clearer now. Even the mock up videos were not as effective at showing this - maybe easier to see in silver?
That struck me too. Here's a comparison courtesy of camerasize.com of the KP, K-3ii, K-70 and K-1

You may need to adjust your screen contrast/brightness to see the black mask around the K-3iii screen or view the image and expand it to full size.

Makes me wonder what the appropriate term for a group of Pentaxians is? Party or Pack are the words that come to mind, but maybe something like a "Pity of Pentaxians" would make more sense.
Plenty of Pentaxians [ the lucky devils ]

Those images really emphasize how they've cleaned up the rear controls. The K-3 III looks much better than both the K-3II and the K-1 (I mention those because I own them). I'm no fan of the K-1 play and lv buttons after using the K-3 II and the fiddly focus point toggle is annoying on both. Again by the looks of it the K-3 II is much improved.
