Coal Mine (DA 15 limited)

Victoria on a Train (DA 15 limited)

I must confess that the Coal Mine shot surprised me with how clean the image is. It is handheld, iso 3200, 1/5 second exposure -- f8 to generate diffraction spikes. It isn't exactly light in the coal mine, but there is plenty of detail and not too much noise, considering.

The coal mine shot is beautiful. Amazing what a skilled photographer can do with this new camera.

Thank you. I thought the image had a depth to it with lights trailing away in the distance.

You and the camera handled that tricky lighting in that coal mine shot superbly!

Nice, looks great. I've done some photography in an old gold mine and it was not easy! But your mine at least had some lights.

This is a mine/museum in the Pocono mountains. No. 9 Coal Mine & Museum | Lansford, PA 18232

It is pretty interesting to tour. A little disheartening too, to realize the conditions that the early immigrants who worked these mines were subjected to.

This is a DA *55 shot. I had tried to sell my 55 a while ago, but there wasn't any interest so, I guess I'm stuck with it, but it still works well...
