Thank you! I missed the chance to get some shots of Red-browed Finches; I was a couple of metres from them and my phone rang.

The EXIF says "close". Any closer and she would have been standing on my boot. Not quite; she had to be two metres away for the lens to focus.

Thanks! They are such tiny birds that you know they're very close if they fill the viewfinder!

I love the shot of the Dolphin fishing! It looks like a mullet?

Backlit, so not the best, unfortunately.

Is it me or does that plane look 'bent' (tail heavy)? (Lens Distortion)

That boat and mullet shot looks like a good test for Autofocus! Well captured.

Nice shots!
Using a little imagination, that sequence sort of makes it look like the osprey stole the dolphin's fish!

It was supposed to be just a little jump up from water to see the big world, thought that fish. Did not end up so well. I know how that feels.

Dear friends, today I took some more photos with small birds in flight. I took pictures with F7.1 and not on full auto autofocus points.

Photos are taken from 17-18m distance.

Best regards, Valeriu

Ivy in B&W

I like how this one turned out. 55-300 PLM.

It was processed in LR during the process to make it B&W.
Some added contrast and noise reduction (which it really didn't need).

My hands are a little more shaky than they used to be and I must compliment the Mk III shake reduction. It has been amazing as this handheld shot attests.

It looks proportional to me, but there may be some distortion at the edge of the frame. I there is, I'd be surprised given that it's 450mm from a full frame lens on a crop sensor.

Went out for a walk in the park just north of where I live, with the new K3 III. It was a damp and dreary day and the camera did a great job. There was a group of warblers flitting around the brush along the trail. Not sure I could have picked the palm warbler out of the brush and branches with my old K5. The focus was quick and most hit the mark (still using center point). So far very happy with the new camera.
