Not the best photo but I think this guy is a Western Wood-Pewee, if so this bird is a first for me. Difficult exposure, all of a sudden he was there, I got the shot and he was gone. No getting things just right, Bam he was gone. I would have got the shot with my K-5 maybe but focus most probably would have been much worse than this.
I've seen a bunch of Red Wing Blackbirds in my day but never one with markings like this.
I think I've been capable of something like this for years but I finally have a camera capable of something like this. Thank you Pentax.
It took me over half an hour to get this close to this bird. After he made the nab he looked directly at me (he knew I was there but he also knew the catfish was there) and flew. I got some nice shots of him in the air but I wanted to see him eat that fish
