Nice mushroom photo, weevil. Defintely a Boletus sp. mushroom, possibly the King Bolete, Boletus edulis, which is delicious as the name suggests. Best to get them when they are younger than your specimen, though, since the flies and beetles are quick to find them.

With 55-300 PLM, both images are SooC (almost, I cropped them a bit to get rid of the fence) and are shot at 25600 ISO.

Love that autofocus point selector. My dog was very squinty today, so bright.

I also love it and use it all the time. Irreplaceable

The 45th Parallel sign in Yellowstone National Park may be the most visited and photographed of all 45th Parallel markers. It is a milestone for travellers heading north or south on Highway 89, the scenic route connecting seven famous western National Parks. Heather Holbus shares this photo of the rustic wooden marker, which is located at a roadside turnout along the Gardiner River just north of Mammoth Hot Springs.

Name that car.

What a nice auto; I love cars but I'm not a connoisseur!

It’s not every day you see a boat-tail Bugatti (properly in French Racing Blue) parked in the street.

Yeah, that's what it is. I was with friends and didn't put it on paper (mostly a necessity these days). Thanks. It's a beauty for sure. It was out for the "Celebrate Hudson" day in Ohio.

Exploring the new flagship with a legacy lens... in a small boat on the lake during my last vacation period.
(my settings were not fully adjusted for my liknings, but this one came off the crowd)

Missing the internal GPS for auto-geotagging the shots, and the back screen of the K-1...and there is a learning curve for that new menu and all controls. Not sure yet when it's touch or not to touch-screen... Ergonomics if pretty goo though...
