I'm not quite well-versed in the possibilities on offer in this camera. I'd love a good guide-book, really. While I rarely shoot any animals (neither by gun nor camera), I'd still like to know such AF settings.

for those young ears, these are " Reindeer In Training " hoping to make Santa's sleigh team

for those older, they are Reindeer aka Caribou in North America

found in the wild in the high latitudes of Alaska, Canada, the Nordic Countries - Norway, Sweden and Finland and Siberia

in the Nordic Countries, there is the Sami who have semidomesticated some reindeer

They were without a glass case. I suppose it is protection against the winter elements. Freezing water can split off elements. Likewise the statues in the Zwergelgarten have been protected by wooden boxes. With the glass cases, you can at least see them.

Great shot, did you convert to B&W in camera or in PP? It's really encouraging to see that this is possible with the K-3 III.

Andrewsville locks at night. It's getting cold here in Canada, the chill coming off the water was intense!

I'd like a guide-book too. At the moment for birds I have two user modes; one with single AF and the other continuous AF. The second one is primarily for birds in flight. I'd have to check the settings I've used in detail. I'd be interested to hear what others are doing. In the past I've used aperture priority with a program set for bias toward shutter speed, auto ISO which kind of creates a "hyper program". I settled on the cross AF pattern for SAF and a small block for CAF.
