K-3 III, K28/3.5, ISO 200, 1/1600 at f/4.0
I'm still a bit confused about the f stops with non A lenses. I was messing around with the settings and was able to use any f stop I wanted including f1.0 using the AV wheel regardless of what setting I had on the lens itself. I'm assuming the ability to set something with the AV wheel is to record the f stop and the camera closes to the f stop setting on the lens when the pic is taken. If this is so the recorded f stop of f4 may or may not be correct because I don't remember where I had the aperture ring set.

Yeah, with non-A lenses, it just records what you set. You could have an f/4 lens set to f/11 and still record f/1.0.

No edits and a small crop. The entire series of images rendered several keepers.

Anyone here with "action" pictures taken with the DA*300/4 ?
BTW, this K3II really rocks from what I'm seeing with those posted pictures!

Thank you mtkeller.
I love the shots of the Coots because I know how hard it is to get a shot like that, not that I've done it, but I've tried a lot.
