Got my silver K-3 III a few days ago. Love it. I normally use Silky Pix as my photo editor. The K-3 III is not officially supported in the current version (at least the .PEF raw file format), so I shot .DNG. I noticed that the pictures have a smooth blocky appearance with SilkyPix's default settings. Moving the Noise Reduction>Smoothness slider to zero (0) seems to have rectified this. Wanted to try a low light picture...my second of two gamer sons. This is SOOC, Av mode, except for some cropping and moving smoothing to zero.

The focus tracking on the K3III is amazing me. This is ISO6400, and I'm pretty pleased with the noise level, too.

FWIW... this is how retired people set up their K3III.... you take it on a honey moon (for a week) to a reserve that has quiet bird hides (Gluepot Bird Reserve in Australis Mallee country)..... add spicy pumpkin samosa's with home made chilli jam (have an oven in vehicle), expresso coffee (have an expresso maker in vehicle) then finish with fruit danishes and lots of time.

Gluepot has 5 or so bird hides with elevated water points for them. Life is tough.
