I knew there was a reason I didn't buy the DA40L.

The low noise at high ISO meant that I could stack 12 images at 6400 ISO with this result:

Tarantula Nebula

Just in case people are worried about the built-in image processor in the K3iii preventing them from taking photos of stars.

Highlight weighted metering with exposure and shadow adjustments in post. Lens used is the Sigma 17-70 F/2.8-4 DC Macro HSM.

A few photos from this past weekend. First photo was with the DFA* 50/1.4 at f1.4. The others were taken with the DFA 24-70/2.8.

Took my new DFA 150-450 out for a practice run today. I've got a bit of a learning curve after using the Bigma for the last ten years
but I'm pretty happy with the results so far.

I finally received my camera after 25 days of delays due to the pandemic and am enjoying it so far. The autofocus is miles ahead of the KP. So excited to learn all the bells and whistles.

Continuing to be very happy with the K-3 iii. I have been doing a lot birds lately so decide to try something else. I spotted some water lilies, now I need a boat to get closer. So many Bluet's that I had to settle for a photo with one on the lily.
