An impressive basketball sized ~~barrel~~ claret cup cactus in bloom I came across today. Biggest I have seen at this altitude (about 8000').

I am pretty sure I could never have caught this damselfly in flight among reeds with any other camera I have owned.

New AF is amazing! I have not yet tried this, but so far I’v had so many keepers that I have to start to get better ’standards’ for real keepers.

Yes and the lens was the dfa150-450

From box to battery and card insertion to 150-450mm to shoot, hand-held. ISO 125, Shutter 1/400s, Aperture 5.6 (On full Aauto straight out of the box)

A nothing picture in itself, just a record of "I have it, to hell with instructions, to hell with settings - whoops, change from manual to autofocus, so first shot totally out of focus!!)" . And shoot. Battery has almost no charge - ok. Put the battery on charge, dismount, remove memory card and return it to the KP, remount KP and the Monster (150-450mm). Got important things to do. But I wanna play with it!!!!

Hell, I didn't even check if Shake Reduction was on or off!

Had my first multi-day bonding experience with my K-3 iii from Friday through yesterday. Was in Badlands National Park in South Dakota with a rented DA* 11–18mm, which I bought rather than returning, and D FA 150–450mm (plus a bunch of my own lenses and my 645D). Lots of wildlife shots to come later, but I really liked this one.
