Trying out the Rokinon 85mm. I don't love the catch in focus implementation, it works great but you can't seem to set the focus point?

Regardless, I like this photo, one of our dogs and our old barn.

Hello everyone,

Have read a lot in this great forum but not posted yet. I can contribute some experience by upgrading from K3-ii to K3-iii recently, I find this camera really amazing. Recently, I tried some astrophotography using the smc PENTAX-DA★300mmF4ED[IF] SDM together with the external GPS for Astrotracer.

Attached is Andromeda M31 from 8 frames stacked using DeepSkyStacker, 20s at ISO 6400; didn't do any post processing in Photoshop, just some curves to enhance the galaxy arms, but still noise is quite low, I think. I'm very, VERY happy with the sharpness of this lens at F4 (I bought it with the K3-iii) and with the performance of Astrotracer! How to set the eye tracking AF focus?

Sharpness is superb!!!! That 560mm can obviously deliver - even on such a fast-moving subject!! ??? Shutter speed/Aperture????

Wow! That's an amazing demonstration of the combination - driven by a brilliant photographer. I wish I had some planes I could photograph, but almost every flight is grounded and there's no air shows.

I was down at the beach the other day and heard a familiar sound that I hadn't heard in a long time. I realised it was coming towards me so I went back to my car to get my camera and this familiar shape came into view, something I hadn't seen in a long time.
Instantly took me back fifty years.
