Not sure however, why there is lots of background noise... (and no there was no lawnmower running around...)
it was pretty quiet around... The Geese you hear were up high in the sky, and the other little birds were close to a feeder, just 15 ft away... other than that, nothing that could justify that backgroud noise...

This shot may not be the sharpest but I'm impressed with the mk III just the same.
This one was taken through a cage and the focus snapped to the animal first!
Every other Pentax camera I have owned would have gotten confused by the cage and tried to focus there.

After years of hedging, I recently decided to go out on a limb and buy the DA560mm F5.6. I found a used copy from Japan on eBay for a good price and couldn't resist. So far, so good! I waited a long time before buying this lens, so if a new 600mm comes from Pentax in the near future, you have me to thank.

In my research, I missed that the coverage of the focus points is restricted with this lens on the K3-III but they still play well together.
