This morning we had not only one or two Cooper's Hawk, but FIVE, where most were juveniles, and possibly an adult was present in the pack. They were hanging in the backyard trees, looking for a lunch. They were hunting in group around our feeders.

Pushing K3 iii to its limits.

Normally I shoot baseball in TAv ƒ8 @ 1/1600

During this night game I had to back it off to ƒ5.6 @ 1/500 - ISO ran around 10,000

I did give this a swish through Nik DFine but it was definitely printable.

I'm glad to share some test shots with the new K-3iii, with the 55-300 PLM that is also new for me. All processed with DxO Photolab.
However, I tried in-camera JPEGs and they are usable even at high iso, significant improvement over the JPEG engine of the old K3.

This one is really not bad for ISO 5000



Pretty clean ISO1600





This one at ISO12800 is not bad for what it is...
