At the very bottom there's an "I agree. Start download." button. If you're not seeing it, try another browser. (Works for me in macOS Safari.)
Ah yes. The page is long enough it was off the bottom of the screen... Doh! Thanks!

Thanks for that, my K3 III arrived today from McBain, first thing I did was the firmware update! Next step is to customize the menu, a video on that would be great (hint hint)

So my new camera is supposed to arrive on Tuesday. The question is whether I will update the firmware or not before taking my first shot. (I'm thinking not...)

Might want to check the shutter count before you do anything.

I was just logging in to ask some of my fellow Pentaxians for an assist. I tried at least a dozen times to update the firmware. Every step was done properly yet holding menu while booting resulted in a normal startup. Over and over. Trying another freshly formated card with the bin file in the root was the same. Nada. Was my camera defective??

So midway thru my first sentence for this post I thought I'd triple-check the file. Dang if i didn't not only once BUT TWICE download and extract the ....
K3 II file. I'm such a doofus.

And only two beers!

The camera is actually ridiculously customizable.
That would be an awesome topic! Maybe I can get to it!

I'd update immediately. No point shooting with a firmware version Ricoh are unhappy with!

K3 III Firmware update.

So after downloading the new firmware to an SD card I put it into the body and proceeded to proceed. Nothing happened (3 trys). Then I noticed slot 1 is now on the left and I had placed the card on the right (same as my K3 and K1) After placing the card in slot 1 on the left all is well.

I just updated my firmware but at first it wasn't working and thought something was wrong with the camera. Then I saw that with this camera, unlike the K1, and other K3's the positioning of the memory cards are reversed. Slot one in the K3 iii is where #2 is in the other cameras. :-)

I've never owned a K-3 or a K-1 (only handled in-store or acquaintances) - good to know that the card slots are swapped!
From my K-3 III only perspective, the current order of the cards seems to make the most sense to me - so I'm glad they changed it :P
